HOW DOES THE “ZOOM” WHITENING SYSTEM WORK?

First, you are outfitted with protective glasses and lip retractors, as well as creams designed to protect your face during the procedure. Second, we isolate the teeth and gums and your teeth are coated with a special whitening gel. Then a special light is placed over your teeth which cause the hydrogen peroxide gel to release oxygen which penetrates the outer layers of your tooth enamel and dentin. We may elect to repeat this procedure several times to achieve the desired results. Each application takes about an hour. All you do is lay back and relax and listen to CD music through a pair of headphones and “Zoom” does the rest.

IS “ZOOM” TEETH WHITENING SAFE?

Absolutely! While this procedure is not recommended for children under 13, women or are pregnant or lactating or persons going through certain medical procedures, extensive clinical trials have proven “Zoom” to be what many dentists consider the best teeth whitening system on the market! IS THERE ANY FOLLOW-UP TREATMENT TO “ZOOM” WHITENING?

Yes. Generally, a fluoride treatment may be recommended, in addition to in-home bleaching. On the average, you should notice your teeth about 6 to 10 shades lighter in color. Careful brushing and follow-up cleanings are also necessary, especially if you drink a lot of coffee, tea, colas, red wine or are a tobacco user.
